Allegra's Magic Flute
Adapted from the most beloved of opera’s Mozart’s Magic Flute, a young girl Allegra finds a magic flute on her way from school plays it and is transported into the forest of nowhere, nothing, nobody, where she meets a bird catcher Papageno. Using her ability to reason through a situation she helps Papageno discover through a series of reenactments why he has been sent to the forest and what he must learn about himself in order to regain the love of his life. A hit at the Luminato Festival 2007 at Toronto’s Harbourfront, the Toronto Music Garden and Ottawa’a National Arts Centre, audiences of all ages are enthralled by it.
